Hi, I’m Laura.

As a mum of two, I know just how challenging feeding your baby can be, and how all-consuming it can feel in those early days and beyond. My own feeding experiences inspired me to become the kind of support I know parents need so much: someone who listens, understands and helps you find a way forward that feels right for you and your family.

I became a nurse in 2012, followed by a role as a Health Visitor in 2014, before taking on the role of NHS Infant Feeding Specialist Nurse in 2019. Throughout these years, I developed extensive skills and knowledge in infant feeding assessment, problem-solving and family-centred care.

When changes to the Health Visiting service in 2025 meant my role became purely managerial, I faced a difficult decision. The thought of stepping away from the specialist, hands-on support I had built my career around simply didn’t feel right. I knew I wanted to continue working directly with families, helping them navigate their feeding journeys with confidence and support.

And so, Mulberry Tree was born!

Growing Mulberry Tree has been a true labour of love. It gives me the opportunity to bring together my clinical experience, my passion for infant feeding and my understanding of the realities of feeding a baby as a parent. Most of all, it allows me to offer the thoughtful, individualised support that every family deserves.

My approach is always gentle, compassionate and centred around you. Your experiences, needs and feeding goals are at the heart of everything we do. Together, we’ll explore what’s happening, work through any challenges and create a feeding plan that feels right for you and your baby.

My practice combines a holistic, family-centred approach with up-to-date infant feeding research and many years of clinical experience. I believe that learning never stops, and I’m committed to continually developing my knowledge and skills through ongoing learning, research and the privilege of working alongside the wonderful families I support.

Above all, I want you to feel heard, understood and supported, without judgement. Whatever your feeding journey looks like, you deserve care that meets you where you are.

Thank you for being here — I’d love to support your feeding journey.
